Compassionate Louisville launches Hearts for Heroes Challenge to uplift healthcare workers on social media

As healthcare workers bravely persevere on the frontlines of COVID-19, all are invited to show their love and appreciation on social media by participating in the #HeartsForHeroesChallenge.

The nonprofit organization Compassionate Louisville has convened a group of Youth Ambassadors from across the city to help facilitate the social media campaign, which recognizes frontline healthcare workers with an outpouring of love on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Here’s an example of what a #HeartsForHeroesChallenge post might look like.

The #HeartsForHeroesChallenge is a fun and easy way to put compassion into action by uplifting these workers and saying thank you.

Here’s how to participate:

  • Take a photo wearing a mask andmaking a heart shape with your hands.
  • Use our sample caption (see below) and tag your favorite healthcare heroes.
  • Nominate three friends to take the #HeartsForHeroesChallenge.

These messages will thank healthcare heroes for their courageous compassion, while also reminding the public to wear a mask and—as soon as possible—get vaccinated.
