The Center for Interfaith Relations is pleased to participate in Give Local Louisville, a 24-hour online Giving Day on Tuesday, May 6th. This day is dedicated to doubling your impact with stretch dollars and prize money contributed from the Community Foundation of Louisville and its supporting sponsors: LG&E and KU Energy, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kentucky and Churchill Downs.
Thanks to the generosity of Christina Lee Brown, every dollar given online on May 6th will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000! In addition, through stretch dollars provided by the Community Foundation of Louisville supporting sponsors, CIR will receive a percentage of the total raised by participating nonprofits.
If you have a Charitable Checking Fund or Donor Advised Fund at the Community Foundation of Louisville, you may recommend a grant of any amount to the Center for Interfaith Relations that will be added to the total amount we raise on May 6th. Two conditions apply: (1) you must designate your grant for Give Local Louisville and (2) submit your grant request before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd. This will allow the Community Foundation to process your grant request so it gets counted in our total raised on May 6th.
The mission and motto of the Center for Interfaith Relations is “Many Faiths. One Heart. Common Action.” By bringing together communities of faith, the Center promotes and supports interfaith understanding, cooperation, and action on significant contemporary issues. Funds raised on May 6th through Give Local Louisville will directly support the mission and programming of the Center, including the Festival of Faiths.
CIR is excited to participate in Give Local Louisville as our spring fundraiser. By doing so, your gift will more than double its impact simply by donating through Give Local Louisville on May 6th. Mark your calendars and let’s see how much we can raise in one day. Help us reach our goal and secure $5,000 in matching funds for the Center for Interfaith Relations. Invite your family, friends, coworkers, and employers to make Give Local Louisville a huge success.
