Accepting donated items at 963 Baxter Ave.

Throughout the month of May, the Center for Interfaith Relations will highlight various nonprofits that are working to support women in need. As part of this month-long #CommonAction initiative, we are collecting items to donate to these organizations.

We invite you to drop off items in the donation bin at CIR’s (temporary) offices at 963 Baxter Avenue in the Highlands.

Items being collected include:

  • Toiletries (Full Size: shampoo, conditioner, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, soap, lotion, etc.)
  • Paper towels
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Toilet paper
  • Diapers and baby wipes
  • Office supplies – notebooks, paper
  • Bed linens and towels (new)

The following donations can be placed in a secure metal mail box to the left of the front door at 963 Baxter:

  • Walmart, Target or Kroger gift cards
  • Quarter rolls (for laundry)

Kristylove Foundation is a survivor-led, trauma-informed program that provides comprehensive services to women recovering from trafficking.

Catholic Charities of Louisville‘s anti-human trafficking program, the Bakhita Empowerment Initiative, provides direct assistance and case management to survivors.

The Center for Women and Families provides trauma-informed advocacy and support for individuals, families and communities affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault.

Thistle Farms, of Nashville, Tenn., is dedicated to healing, empowering and employing women survivors of trafficking, prostitution and addiction.
