“We must believe in our hearts, but we must also act with our tongues, hands, and feet,” civil rights activist Linda Sarsour said during the 2016 Festival of Faiths. In this session, Sarsour explains why faith and spirituality are at the heart of social justice movements. She ends her talk by quoting indigenous Australian artist and activist Lilla Watson: “If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time, but if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.” #WisdomWednesday
